This document sets out the rules governing traders who hold a FundedOx evaluation, challenge, or funded account, whether purchased individually or as part of a multi-challenge package. It is designed to protect the integrity of the FundedOx capital allocation model and to prevent abuse of firm capital through account correlation, hedging, automated trading abuse, or artificial margin manipulation. These terms are supplementary to, and form part of, the general FundedOx Terms of Service and Risk Management Policy.
By purchasing, activating, or trading any FundedOx account, the trader agrees to be bound by the conditions below.
1 Multiple Accounts & Simultaneous Trading
A trader may purchase or hold more than one challenge or funded account. However, accounts belonging to the same trader (or to a group of related traders, as defined in Section 6) may not be operated in a manner that creates linked, mirrored, or risk-offsetting exposure. Specifically:
- If a trader holds five (5) or more challenges purchased at the same time, those accounts may not be traded simultaneously on the same instrument in a way that duplicates market exposure.
- Opening the same or a similar entry (same symbol, same direction, and same or materially similar lot size) across two or more of the trader's own accounts at the same time is strictly prohibited.
- Each account must be traded as an independent trading strategy with its own risk-based rationale, not as a copy or near-copy of another account owned by the same trader.
2 Prohibition on Hedging
Hedging โ defined as opening offsetting positions on the same or a correlated instrument, in opposite directions, across two or more accounts controlled by the same trader (or by related traders acting in coordination) โ is strictly prohibited under all FundedOx programs. This includes, without limitation:
- Opening a buy position on one account and a sell position on the same instrument on another account held by the same trader.
- Hedging a FundedOx account against a personal or external live/demo account, or against another prop firm's account, where the intent or effect is to guarantee a profit on one side while the other absorbs the loss.
- Partial hedging, where positions are not fully opposite but are structured to materially reduce combined market risk while still qualifying for profit targets or payouts on one or more accounts.
- Using correlated instruments (e.g. two currency pairs, or gold and a related index) to achieve the same offsetting effect described above.
3 Prohibited Correlation & Margin-Manipulation Practices
The following additional practices are prohibited because they allow a trader to artificially increase effective market exposure or margin capacity beyond what any single FundedOx account is intended to provide:
- Group or coordinated trading: two or more traders (including friends, family, or affiliates) opening matching or offsetting trades across separate accounts to circumvent single-account risk limits.
- One-sided directional stacking: opening the same-direction trade with the same or near-identical lot size, stop loss, and take profit across multiple accounts so that a single market move is amplified across the trader's total FundedOx capital.
- Reverse martingale or news-straddling across accounts: placing pending buy-stop and sell-stop orders on the same instrument across different accounts around a single news event so that only the winning side is retained as a "strategy" while the losing account is treated as disposable.
- Latency or tick-arbitrage strategies executed across linked accounts to exploit price feed discrepancies between accounts or platforms.
- Use of Expert Advisors, copy-trading tools, or signal services to mirror the same trade across multiple owned accounts simultaneously.
- Opening accounts under different names, emails, or payment methods that are reasonably determined (by IP address, device fingerprint, payment details, trading pattern, or other evidence) to be controlled by the same individual, for the purpose of the practices above.
3b Automated Trading, Bots & Expert Advisors
FundedOx accounts are evaluated as a reflection of a trader's own strategy and judgment. The use of unauthorized bots, algorithmic scripts, or automated execution tools is treated as a serious integrity violation, separate from and in addition to the correlation rules in Section 3. Specifically prohibited:
- Running any Expert Advisor (EA), bot, script, or automated system that opens, manages, or closes trades without the trader's direct, manual decision-making, unless the specific tool has been explicitly disclosed to and approved by FundedOx in writing.
- Using bots or scripts to exploit latency, spread anomalies, price feed lag, or execution delays between FundedOx's platform and any other broker, exchange, or data source.
- Deploying automated tools to execute the hedging, correlation, or stacking strategies prohibited in Sections 2 and 3 at speeds or precision not achievable manually โ this is treated as an aggravating factor, not a mitigating one.
- Using grid bots, martingale bots, or high-frequency scalping bots designed to circumvent daily loss limits or drawdown rules through rapid, high-volume order placement.
โ ๏ธ Why this matters
Bot-driven trading is one of the fastest ways an account gets flagged, because it produces execution patterns โ timing, precision, order clustering โ that manual trading simply doesn't. If you're found to be running unauthorized automation, we won't assume good intent.
๐ซ Consequences are more severe than a standard rule breach
Unauthorized bot or algorithmic trading, where confirmed, may result in:
- Immediate suspension of the account and any linked or related accounts, without warning.
- Permanent ban from withdrawals and forfeiture of any profits generated through automated trading, even if the account was otherwise profitable.
- Permanent ban from all current and future FundedOx programs.
- Where the activity involves fraud, coordinated abuse, or attempts to circumvent risk controls at scale, FundedOx reserves the right to pursue the matter through legal channels and to report the activity to relevant authorities or payment providers.
4 Permitted Practice
For clarity, a trader may hold multiple FundedOx accounts and trade different strategies, different instruments, or the same instrument in the same direction with genuinely independent risk parameters, provided the intent and effect is not to hedge, duplicate, or artificially amplify exposure as described in Sections 1โ3, and provided no unauthorized automation is used as described in Section 3b. FundedOx reserves the right to request a trading rationale or strategy explanation where account activity appears correlated or automated.
5 Monitoring & Detection
FundedOx monitors account activity, including but not limited to open/close timestamps, lot sizes, symbols, direction, execution speed, order patterns, IP addresses, device identifiers, and payment information, in order to detect correlated, hedged, or bot-driven trading across accounts. FundedOx reserves the right to review any account at any time and to request supporting information from the trader.
6 Related Traders
"Related traders" means two or more individuals who share an IP address, device, payment method, physical address, or other identifying detail, or who are otherwise reasonably determined to be trading in coordination with one another. Rules in this document that apply to a single trader's accounts apply equally to the combined accounts of related traders.
7 Consequences of Violation
- First identified breach (excluding bot/automation violations under 3b): formal written warning and a requirement to close the offending position(s) within a specified period.
- Repeated or severe breach (including hedging, coordinated group trading, or margin manipulation): immediate suspension of all accounts linked to the trader or related traders, forfeiture of any profits generated through the prohibited activity, and disqualification from the evaluation or funded stage without refund.
- FundedOx reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to permanently ban a trader or group of related traders from all current and future FundedOx programs where evidence of deliberate abuse is found.
- Any payout already processed in connection with a violation may be reversed or offset against future payouts, to the extent permitted by applicable law and payment provider terms.
8 Acknowledgment
By activating any FundedOx challenge or funded account, the trader confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to this Multiple Account, Risk-Correlation, and Automated Trading Policy in full, and acknowledge that FundedOx's determination of a violation, made reasonably and in good faith based on available account data, is final.
